The information details that the club increased its salary ceiling by €8.9 million during the summer transfer window. This boost was funded by a percentage of the aid from the relegation of transfers for players like Rahim and Hassan, plus sponsorship income obtained.
The highest cap in the category belongs to Girona, at €35.08 million. Mallorca follows with €34.6 million. Real Oviedo sit just behind Leganés, whose limit is also €20.7 million, though it surpasses the Asturian side by less than €5,000. This position of economic strength mirrors the one the club held in September of the 2024/25 season, when they ultimately achieved promotion to the top flight. That year, the cap was just €12.5 million.
The growth in salary margin reflects the ambition of the project and confidence in the first-team squad. It allows the club to accommodate the wage bill after a very active signing window, where Real Oviedo made 16 additions. Only Cádiz, with 17, surpassed that number in the entire division.
